Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure to increase the size, shape and fullness of a woman's breasts. Breast augmentation surgery is one of the most common aesthetic operations performed all over the world. It is one of the plastic surgery operations with the most successful results.

The aim of breast augmentation is not only to enlarge the breast but also to shape it. In addition to the patient's wishes, factors such as body structure, the condition of the rib cage, and skin structure are taken into consideration in the selection of the prosthesis to be placed and breast augmentation is performed accordingly.

Young girls who have completed the age of 18 but have small or medium-sized breasts, mothers whose breasts are hollowed out due to breastfeeding after childbirth, and ladies whose breasts are hollowed out due to age can be given as examples who are suitable and ideal for breast augmentation.

A 4-5 cm incision is made to place the breast implant. Prostheses can be placed under the breast, in the nipple or in the armpit. Recently, under-breast incisions are preferred most frequently all over the world and are accepted as the safest approach. This scar remains right at the inframammary fold. In the long term, all scars become indistinct and do not disturb the patients. Silicones are placed under the muscle in patients who are weak and thin under the skin. The upper part of the prosthesis remains under the muscle and the lower part under the breast. This technique is most preferred in modern breast surgery. In patients with sufficiently thick subcutaneous tissue, the implant can be placed under the breast tissue or muscle membrane.
