Liposuction
For people who do not have weight problems such as obesity, but have regional fat deposits that cannot be removed by slimming methods, surgical methods applied to remove excess fat tissue and give the body a better shape are called Liposuction. Liposuction, which is generally described as fat removal among the public, is one of the most applied aesthetic operations from past years to the present. This application is especially applied to areas such as hips, abdomen, waist, knees where stubborn fat and regional excesses are seen.
Liposuction is generally applied by vacuuming and removing the fat tissues, which are made more fluid by various methods, through 1-2 mm incisions, using thin and long cannulas with a diameter of 2-3 mm.
Liposuction is a method that can be applied to anyone who does not have a systemic health problem, is not pregnant or has recently given birth. However, before indicating the application to people with systemic health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, etc., a number of tests should be performed to determine the risk factors and necessary precautions should be taken against dangerous situations.
After the operation, specially produced corsets must be used. These corsets are used for approximately 4 to 8 weeks depending on the amount of fat tissue removed and the characteristics of the person. Edema and bruising is an expected condition and this condition disappears over time. One week after the procedure, the stitches are removed and after one to three weeks, the patient can return to work and daily life if there is no problem in the general condition of the patient. Normal exercises can be resumed 3-4 weeks after the procedure.
